From Family Recipe to Culinary Cult
Starting in Medan as M Burger, MOGUL quickly captured the hearts of food lovers before expanding to Jakarta. The name MOGUL stands for Monstrous Gulp!, a philosophy that a true burger should be enjoyed with big, enthusiastic bites.
US-raised Chris Angkasa (investor, company builder, and wealth management expert) and Joeana Simon (@mijocooks) co-founded MOGUL, a brand born from a fusion of bold flavors and the warmth of a family kitchen. Joeana, who also runs the bakery Bakeout, ensures that every MOGUL menu item is made with ingredients transparency, housemade sauces, no MSG, and perfectly baked artisan buns, without compromise.
Some of MOGUL’s signature offerings include:
● Double Smash: Two beef patties with two slices of cheese
● Triple Smash: Three beef patties for the ultimate indulgence
● Classic Cheese Burger: One patty with two slices of cheese
● Mogul Junior: A mini version for kids, complete with caramelized onions, pickles, and lettuce
Looking ahead, MOGUL plans to expand its menu with local beverage options such as crafted soda, while also exploring new collaborations that highlight the creative spirit of Indonesian cuisine.
